Changes to British passports are being phased in from this month

The new passports see a return to the iconic blue and gold design and contain a number of changes and updates. Burgundy passports will continue to be issued alongside blue ones but by the middle of this year every new passport will be blue. All styles of passports will be equally valid for travel.

While the blue passports incorporate new features which the government say will offer better protection against identity theft and fraud, Rent4sure advises agents to continue doing everything possible to avoid fraudulent applications getting through.

As the capability to produce fake documents improves, being able to identify genuine documents by eye is becoming increasingly harder.

Rent4sure’s gold standard Reference Plus product has been specifically designed to help agents combat this. Our smart MRZ tool uses the latest technology to help verify that documents are genuine, allowing you to determine if passports, identity cards and other relevant paperwork have been tampered with.

This great value bundle takes the time, hassle and expense out of multiple checks and eliminates paper-based documentation. Reference Plus is fully integrated with the bespoke Rent4sure system – order with just one click of a button.
