It’s easy to avoid delays if applicants know exactly what they need to provide in advance.

Students should have their Student Finance Award Letter for the upcoming academic year.

Employed should provide their authorisation to their referee to release a reference in advance, making sure that the referee given is going to be available. Employer on holiday/school closed etc? Make sure they have their 6 months’ bank statements and pay slips ready.

Starting new employment: Have the new employers contact details and a copy of the new contract ready.

Self-employed applicants should have their most recent tax return ready to submit.

Guarantors should know what details are needed and have them ready.
