Protecting Your Applicants' Data

Our Open Banking Reference is completely secure. Applicants do not share their bank password or login details with anyone other than their own bank.

Data will only be obtained with express permission for this one purpose, and the information cannot be used by anyone else.

How Does it Work?

With your applicant’s permission, we take a snapshot of their online bank account to analyse the data and identify the facts.

Detailed results are returned swiftly, with a comprehensive Final Report. You get an overview of your applicant’s monthly income over the entire past year and the sources of that income, and see a true account of their financial and address history.

We Interpret the Facts

Our Open Banking Reference provides the facts to help you make an assessment about your applicant’s suitability as a tenant.

Credit Check

We tell you the exact credit score, whether this is a pass or a fail, and indicate what this means in relation to any risk factors. We check that the address given matches with the address on the applicant’s credit file. In addition, we also check for and list any County Court Judgments and Bankruptcies, plus any previous linked addresses.

Income check

We check the income of the applicant for up to the past 12 months, to give you an indication as to whether they’ll be able to afford the rent. As part of our income analysis, we also give you an exact month-by-month income breakdown, so you can see precisely where it comes from.

Landlord Reference

If required, this provides details of the condition of the property, any rent arrears, and whether the landlord/letting agent would consider the applicant for tenancy again.

Employment Reference

If required, this confirms employment details and terms, earnings, commissions or bonuses, whether the employer would consider the applicant honest, reliable and trustworthy, plus any additional relevant information. We can also provide references for self-employed applicants.
